Thanksgiving from East Coast Spencers

Elle had a great Thanksgiving!! She can't stop talking about how much she loved her cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and new friends. You can see more other-than-family pics at the blue door window blog.

Here is a leftover halloween pic. Our little hula girl!

Elle is already living on the edge of danger. Do not try this stunt at home.

Elle's favorite outdoor activity!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZACH

Feliz Cumplianos
We had a fun night with our friends at Cafe Sabor for Zach's 23rd Birthday. Because it was his birthday I gave in and took him to the new 007 that he's been begging to go see. He can't get over the fact that he's 23.

TURTLE UPDATE: Our four turtles were getting along so well with eachother, that we thought we should get them a pet. So we got a Snail to clean the tank. Well..... one day I didn't feed them and lets just say they enjoy fine French Dining. They completely cleaned out the snail shell- poor little guy :)

Viva Las Vegas

Paul and I went with Marilyn and Robert (his folks) to visit the other triplets and their families for the Thanksgiving holiday. It was such a great time. Here we are trying to entertain ourselves on the long drive.

Here is the cool display in the Belagio Casino. It was so amazing!

Marilyn watched the kids so we could hit the strip on Saturday

Tallie and I are too fabulous for this place

Día del Campo

On Saturday we went as a family to what Argentines call "La Estancia." It is a farm where you go to enjoy the day away from the busy city. It was about an hour outside of Buenos Aires. We spent the whole day there. They serve you breakfast, then there are activities such as horse back rididng, folklore dancing, a small dairy where you can watch them milk cows and make cheese and horse and buggy rides. Then we all came together for a delicious "Asado" or bar-b-que. Then we all hung out, played games that we had brought like dominos and then ate a little snack before leaving. It was a wonderful day. Here are some pictures and videos to enjoy.

Here we are waiting for breakfast.

Here is a look of the farm behind me. Cesar and Lucy enjoying the nice weather.

Lucy and Mommy.

Cesar and his crazy horse!

Natalia, Lucy and Melissa wating for lunch.
This video is when they started serving lunch.

This is a typical "Gaucho" or cowboy dance.

Getting ready to go home after a nice day!

Cesar's Time at 5CA

As many of you know Cesar worked for a year and nine months at a Dutch Company called 5CA. He worked with people from all over the world. In order to work at this company you had to be able to speak English, and at least two other languages. Most of the people who worked there were from Europe and are living here in Argentina for a while. Attached is the last call Cesar took at his job. Imagine having to try and decipher this type of English, when you aren´t even a native english speaker! It was a good job and Cesar was able to meet a lot of great people. It's a little long....but just listen for a second to have a good laugh!

Give Peace a Chance

We stayed at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth, the hotel where John Lennon and Yoko Ono staged their "bed in" in 1969. The room happened to be empty, so we were able to tour the room. All of the furniture is original. We were able to take a photo on the bed were they recorded "give peace a chance". It was cool! Dad, we have to go back. I was with you in spirit. You would have appreciated it much more than we did. And for anyone with an affinity for the French language, Europe, or the best Hot Chocolate I have ever had, (and I know my Hot Chocolate!), you would love Montreal.
Also, Thanks so much for taking such great care of our kids while we were gone. It is impossible to have fun if you are stressed about what's going on at home. Thanks so much for everything. We Love You!!

These are original photos taken by the Hotel staff.
There is a lot of memorabilia in the room. The room is asian-deco style. It rents for $2,000 per night in season. They said it gets booked a lot.

"Vous avez de la ciboulette sur votre dent"

Josh and I took a little trip to Montreal last weekend. It is such a beautiful city. I would highly recomend it!:) We are standing in front of the historic city hall square. Above is the Notre Dame Cathedral. Montreal was founded in 1642 by a French explorer(I cannot remember his name). That is why 90% of the population speaks French as their primary language. Almost everyone is bilingual. All of the street signs, directions, magazines and menu's are in French. It is a beautiful language. It was fun to be surrounded by good food, nice people and so much fascinating history. Au Revior!

October Fun in NY

October was such a fun month!! We loved the visit from Leah and Amelia. We had a great time. Now, we can't wait to see Lucy and Lizzy.

Here we are at the Stage Deli after a big day on the town. We had Matzah Ball soup (now that's a big matzah ball!), pastrami on rye, and a pickle - a very traditional New York meal.

The famous piano at FAO Schwartz toy store
"I LOVE FAO Schwartz!!"
Coordinating Sunday outfits - how cute!

Elle, picking out her first pumpkin

We decided to dress up as hippies for halloween. Amazingly, we had everything we needed at home. We pulled together things from our costume box, army box, souvenir box, etc. Some people thought that Elle was borderline hippie/gypsy. One of us is wearing a wig, the other isn't. Can you guess which one is which?

Winter Has Arrived!

We had a fun last saturday hanging out with the Masoners.
We took a tour of their new house
and the kids got to see Lizzie for the first time.

Davis is so self- reliant. He wanted a peice of gum
and didn't see any need to ask for help. He pushed his high chair
over to the cupboard, and climbed up to open the doors.
He is always willing to take his chances!

The gang holding Lizzie.

We woke up to snow this morning!
Forget white Christmas,
it looks like we are going to
have a white Halloween this year.
