Jake at the MTC

I made my traditional trip to the MTC for Jake on Saturday the 26th. I took his district pizza, krispy kremes, gum, and root beer. The same week they got an update that "families may NOT visit", so he was feeling like he would get caught and apparently fired! :) ANYWAY, from the airport he called me and left the cutest message about how he was sorry that he didn't actually spend time with me and that they were all super grateful for the food. I was fine and have always tried to be grateful for whatever few illegal minutes I get with all of you missionaries while at the MTC. Here's a pic of Jake and me and then Jake, me and his comp.

P. S. In return, I got a tape and some pictures for all of you at home. (AND precious time with Jake!)

We love her when she tries to talk to us.

Hi everybody!
Finally, in the web we found a program that translates Lucy's noises into real words. Please, check that out.

Eleven Weeks

Eleanor is really growing up. She weighed in at 10 lbs. 4 oz. at the doctor this week. She's in the 25th percentile for both height and weight. She got 4 shots and was feeling kind of sad about it. We think she's better now. Elle's slobbering level increased 400% this week. Her two favorite books right now are: "My Many Colored Days" by Dr. Seuss, and "My Colors/Mis Colores" by Rebecca Emberley. I guess she likes colors. Maybe she'll be a painter or fashion designer.

Our favorite Spencer trait: left-eye!!

Elle's most favorite page of any book is...the orange page in "My Colors/Mis Colores." She smiles whenever we turn to that page.

Elle is so proud of herself. We're proud of her, too.

Really little girl. Really big appetite.

Piano Lesson

Elle's only had one lesson.

Highchair no more

Davis has declared highchair mutany! He screams and kicks when I try to put him in it. He fights the whole concept. He thinks he is a big boy now. Obviously, I lost the battle today, but hopefully not the war. He looked so cute sitting there. He has a way of making me laugh when in reality I am aggrivated. He has been my busiest child by far, but he destroys with a smile. Doesn't he look so happy? It is truly the simple things that bring the most happiness. Love to you all!

Two Months and Counting

Look! No Hands.
Our house in Port Wahington. We're on the first floor. The boat came with the house. It doesn't have a prop, but it's nice in case of hurricane flooding.

"Dad, you can't be serious!"

Two months old. Thanks for the dress, Sofia!

Spittin' image of . . . Aunt Emily.

Bath-time hair. Thanks a lot for the weird genetics, dad.

Port Washington with the Atlantic in the distance.

Four Elders and a baby.

Bed-time hair. "Again, thanks a lot for the weird hair, dad."

Cooing Conversation

Elle and Amber have frequent cooing conversations now. This video was at seven weeeks. Let me know if you know of a cooing translation guide.

Davis and I were messing around with our new web cam. Having a Mac has been fun and frustrating. I am so lost. Hopefully it will all start making sense. Love to you all. Leah

Leaving Comments

I just figured out that I had the comments button turned to off. Now they are on. Now, I hope we'll be able to see the comments that people have left for each posting. You may want to scroll down and read the comments that have been left in the past. And remember - the blog is not only for pics. If you want to tell a story or write about an experience (like Melissa just did) go on ahead! Love, Gabe

P.S. Happy one month, and two months to Lucy and Eleanor!!

Lucy Update

First of all, thanks Amber and Zach for the post. I was thinking about you two when I was watching CNN this morning and heard about "Chris." I hope all is well and you don´t get washed away.
Well, Lucy is growing and changing a lot. Her hair is reminding me of a blond who went brunette and has really bad roots now. Her tips are dark and roots are light. I think she is going to be really a sandy blond. So much for our black haired latina. She is has grown and inch and gained a little over a pound in this first month of life. Cesar and I enjoy just watching her every move and still can´t believe she is really ours. This Sunday we will bless her. We are going to have a lunch at Alejandro and Natalia's house after. (Cesar's brother and sister in law) Cesar wanted to know if he had to hold up like the Lion King after the blessing...of course he does!!! We wish you all could be here. We will miss you. Here are a few pics of the babe for you to enjoy.
Un beso,
Melissa, Cesar y Lucy

Could she be any sweeter???

It is serious trying to solve the worlds problems

That's all folks!!!

Tropical Storm Chris

This is Tropical Storm Chris on its way to San Juan. It's shifted a lot since last night, luckily! But we are prepared with lots of water and we brought in our turtle bowl from outside :) People are Crazy, it's so dark and stormy, but the surfers are doin there thing! Zach is out selling, in the pouring rain, that's what I'd call a determined salesman! Other than that things are fabulous! We're excited to be home! Take care! Love, Zach and Amber
