Hi from Zach and Amber
Since we don't have any kids, and our lives are just school and work, we have to post other people's kids :)

PEEK-A-BOO
It is cute to see Lucy every morning smiling to us when we open the door of her room but it is cuter to see Lucy every morning doing the PEEK-A-BOO thingy.

Elle's new toy
Elle already has convictions when it comes to crawling - she'd rather not. All she wanted to do was walk around holding our hands - so we decided to get her a new toy. And she loves it. (Elle's new toy was made possible, in part, by a generous grant from the Daleen S. King Foundation.)
Elle did some other fun things lately: She visited Chinatown in Queens for the new year and learned to say mama!

Elle's first concert, a success
Elle's first concert was at the Port Washington Public Library. She saw the Modigliano String Quartet (from Paris!). Elle preferred the Ravel over the Beethoven, and assured us that she loved the Wolf piece, as wel. Some people gave her the "Oh brother, here we go..." look, but Elle proved them all wrong by enjoying the entire concert with just a few minor coos. We' couldn't be prouder!

Elle, all dressed up and ready to see the Chinese new year parade in Queens Chinatown.

Elle's Eight-month Update
Eleanor's is starting to crawl and pull herself up on the furniture. Her favorite food is sweet pototoes, but blended beef vegetable soup comes in at a close second. Recently, she loves arias from La Boheme and the version of "Somewhere over the rainbow" by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. She definately does not like the soundtrack to Prince of Egypt. Go Figure.
