Weekend in Newport, Rhode Island

We went to Newport to celebrate Gabe's Army discharge. (We got the honorable discharge certificate in the mail, today!!) We drove through New Haven, CT and stopped by Yale on the way. Elle really liked it. I guess we need to start saving up.


Newport is famous for its mansions. This is Breakers - the summer home of the NY Vanderbuilts.

Elle's first swimming experience. Notice Sofia's swimming suit :) Elle was wary of the splashing kids at first, but warmed up after a while. Her favorite part was waving to the lap swimmers.

Even though Elle is only 1/8 hispanic (¡pobrecita!), she still feels like she needs to be awake after midnight - dancing. Now that's a strong gene.

Hi Everyone! Sorry to be a Blog Hog, but this is the first chance I've had to post in over 2 months! Lizzie has changed A LOT! And, yes, Sal is wearing the same shirt in almost every photo. It's his only "cool" shirt. I have to trick him to let me wash it!

Babies are fun to play with! Zach and I really do love our neices and nephews, but sometimes it's funny when they cry.

Here is my first attempt at posting a video. This was one of Kestle's piano festival pieces, "The Lion Roars". She and Hailey both got "Superiors" for the third year in a row, which means that they get trophy's instead of just a certificate. Very Cool!
