Weekend in Newport, Rhode Island

We went to Newport to celebrate Gabe's Army discharge. (We got the honorable discharge certificate in the mail, today!!) We drove through New Haven, CT and stopped by Yale on the way. Elle really liked it. I guess we need to start saving up.


Newport is famous for its mansions. This is Breakers - the summer home of the NY Vanderbuilts.

Elle's first swimming experience. Notice Sofia's swimming suit :) Elle was wary of the splashing kids at first, but warmed up after a while. Her favorite part was waving to the lap swimmers.
